"We must be doing the work to get the results."

Hey gang! This week on #whatsmysnack we have some popcorn with chili powder! Some dope members, the Escobedos, had us over for some dang good authentic Mexican food. Then they were telling us about how much they love chili powder on popcorn. They were out of popcorn at the time so they ended up bringing us some to church on Sunday. It's actually hecka good!

This week was great as usual, not much else to say. We had a dang good zone conference on Thursday, too. It was extra long, we were in Buffalo Grove from 9am to 6pm! But it was super good, president talked to us a lot about becoming better teachers. He said it all starts with our personal study. We must be doing the work in order to get the results. To understand the scriptures there is a price to pay!!

Life is so good when you live the gospel of Jesus Christ! Keep on keeping on everyone, I love and miss yall!!

St Patrick's Day!

Hey gang! This week on #whatsmysnack we have some classic St Patrick's day corned beef and Cabbage!! It made me think of my man Elder Nadauld out there in Ireland! It was my first time having corned beef and it wasn't too bad. The Bohman's also made some super good mashed potatoes! Good stuff, happy St Patties day!

It was another good week! On Saturday, Elder Munoz and I had a great exchange. We are pretty tight, so it was a real good time. We found two solid new people as we tracked and taught a lot of restoration lessons. We also got antied like crazy haha it felt like every other person we talked to was atheist and only believed in science. Because of that we of course were quoting Nacho Libre right and left!

Elder Freeze and I are out here loving the grind! We found a couple cool new people this week who will hopefully hang around. Betsy and Del came to church again and afterwards Betsy met with the bishop. She told us she is on the fence still and needs some questions answered and she felt like only the bishop could do it. So she did and she told us it went really well, but she didn't say more than that! We will find out on Wednesday when we meet with them!

Life is good! Have a great week!

"Life is good, not much else to say."

Hey gang! This week on #whatsmysnack we have some Chinese candy, straight from China! A member just got back from China and had us over for dinner. The candy is kinda weird, it has a a rice wrapper over it which you can eat.  Pretty weird, but it's not too shabby.

This week was pretty average to be honest. Kind of the same old stuff. I got to go on exchanges with Elder Romm which was great. He's a stud, it had been 6 months since we were on exchanges back in the Chicago zone! Good day, we took some good pics too.

On Friday we had new missionary training at the new mission home, which is hecka nice!! Some real good trainings by president and sister Bingham. It was a good time seeing some long time mission friends. I love this work so much. Life is is good, not much else to say.

I hope y'all have a great week!

Catholic Mass...

Hey gang! This week on #whatsmysnack we have some Jello Fries!! Lol nobody knows why they call it Jello fries but it is a very popular Nigerian dish. It's just rice with spices and spinach. It's not too bad, but it's really spicy! Charity and Peace made it for us after our lesson with them last night! It definitely tastes better than some Nigerian food I've had.

Pretty interesting experience I had this week, Betsy and Del invited us to come to Catholic Mass with them on Saturday so we went haha. It was a good experience, definitely very very different. We walk in and there is a massive cross with Jesus nailed to it, hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room. So we sit down and start the service and the priest talked for a good 15 minutes about how the congregation isn't paying enough money and that they need more support haha. So he had some guys send around these envelopes for people to put money in. Then he talked about it more and then had them pass around a basket to put money in. Lol I guess they really need money. Then right before the priest starts the communion they choose 2 people out of the congregation to bring the bread and wine to him and guess who they asked? Lol yep, Del and I were the ones to present the priest with the bread and wine. Del had the bread and I had the wine haha. So I walked up to the front of the congregation with my name tag front and center. I gave the wine to the priest and he looked at my name tag then at me and I just smiled at him, I wanted to wink, but I thought "ehh betta not." It was a good experience tho, the apostasy is very very real haha.

We spent a lot of time this week on campus at Harper College teaching and contacting students. It was a lot of fun to talk to people our age. They are definitely a lot more receptive. We were also able to put Kelvin, Betsy, Olivia, and Peace all on date this week! Lots of good stuff going on here. The work is good and the church is true!

I hope y'all have a great week!

Sorry, I took like no pictures this week.
But here is one of Elder Freeze.  And a tender mercy I received from the Lord...this was just chillin in the vending machine.
