Heading down to Frankfort...

Hey gang! This week on #whatsmysnack we have a little home made horchata. This was a couple weeks ago when Elder Taggart and I were on exchanges. We got home and saw we had a little rice left so we cooked it with milk and then put some brown sugar on it. Yum.

This week was pretty packed with service. We helped out at the food bank a couple times handing out food and sorting cans. We helped a couple members with yard work. We also got to do a cool service with the Red Cross. We were paired up with one of them and we went door to door installing free smoke alarm systems. It was basically tracting... We knocked on doors for 3 hours and had 1 person let us in to install some alarms haha. It was fun though!

We were super excited for JP's lesson on Friday to see if his thoughts changed about baptism, but Thursday night he texted us and said they are going out of town for the weekend. So bummer we still haven't been able to meet with him. K is the beam of light in our investigator pool. He's such a cool kid. He came to church again, this was his third week. We had an awesome lesson with him on Saturday and taught him the plan of salvation. He has read the first 11 chapters of the Book of Mormon and he is asking lots of questions which is awesome! He said he is praying about the Book of Mormon, but hasn't received an answer yet. He's super positive about everything and is looking forward to his baptism on the 26th!

We got our transfer calls on Saturday and after 6 months I'll be leaving Rockford. I will be heading down to Frankfort. Back to the Joliet stake, gonna be a good time. My new companion is elder Adams. I've heard lots of good things about him and I'm pumped! Super sad to leave Rockford and all the amazing people I've met, but I'm excited for a change!
